Some unofficial phone apps appear to be using GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser does.Using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary and even permanent IP blocks due to these additional requests. If you are using Maxthon or Brave as a browser, or have installed the Ghostery add-on, you should know that these programs send extra traffic to our servers for every page on the site that you browse. The most common causes of this issue are: Ill admit its not the strongest during the early parts of the game, but It's there.Your IP address has been temporarily blocked due to a large number of HTTP requests. but in Rogue Galaxy's case the character developement is near the end of the story. After playing Rogue Galaxy I realize how inexcusable that is for a JRPG. What you and Seeksjustice have said about the game getting better towards the end is encouraging, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that at 20 hours in these characters aren't growing. Please understand though, that I'm still going to beat the game. I guess the main reason why I haven't discovered this sooner is because I haven't played an rpg before like Rogue Galaxy, where the lack of character development is just simply atrocious. Now that I've experienced Rogue Galaxy, I'm learning that if an rpg doesn't provide adequate character development then you won't care about the story. It's one of the reasons why Lost Odyssey is right now my most anticipated game. In fact, story has been for as long as I can remember my main attraction to the genre. That's how I used to think until I played this game. I played the game for about 40 hours and it wasnt till near the end of the game where the characters really turn around. On the subject of character developement you learn a lot more about the characters later in the game. If I wanted all action Id play Ninja Gaiden or God Of War. and in my opinion, an rpg isnt good unless it has a story. I still think this game has other attributes that makes it a must play game though. Gale ends up being the coolest character in the whole game and he isn't even a playable character. But sadly I agree with you on how they don't develop. They go into Jaster's past eventually and it is pretty good. So I'd say, if Tales of the Abyss has been released in Europe, choose that game instead of this one. I've officially put this game on hold in favor of another offering. And it seems that once a character joins you, you can expect that that character won't be further developed as well. I'm about 20 hours in, and I don't know anything new about Jaster than what I knew when he first set out, as an example. I've played a lot of rpgs in my time, I've even gone back and played games from extinct eras that I've missed, but this is the first time I've played an rpg and the lack of character development has grated on my nerves. But this game has virtually no character development, and for the most part what little is there is wholly unappealing altogether. The battle system is the game's strong point, just based on the kinds of things you can do that you can't in any other rpg. I'm playing this game right now (check my sig).
